Ojiya or Japanese vegetable soup

This recipe is inspired by the classic ojiya soup or Japanese soup that is made with rice and is the comfort food for when you are sick or need something to warm you up.

To use oats, I swapped the cooked rice for steel cut oats which are thicker and give a more soup-like texture.   • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate chips
