Vegan French Bread with Oat Crust

Ingredients
For the French bread
- 1 cup Oat milk
- 2 tbsp flaxseeds
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tbsp corn starch
- 4 slices of Bread
- Oil as needed
Oatmeal crust
- 1 1/2 tbsp Instant oatmeal
- 1 tsp cinnamon
To serve
- Fresh strawberries or fresh mixed berries
- Maple syrup
Instructions
- Mix all the ingredients for the French bread in a large bowl, except for the bread slices.
- Let the mixture stand for 10 minutes for it to thicken.
- While waiting for the mixture thicken, mix the oatmeal with the cinnamon in a shallow bowl and set aside.
- Heat a frying pan over medium heat, use a little oil to prevent your bread from sticking.
- Dip the bread in the mixture for approximately 20 to 30 seconds per side, depending on the thickness of your bread.
- Dredge the bread in the oatmeal-cinnamon mixture and coat thoroughly.
- Cook in the pan for 2 to 3 minutes per side until lightly browned.
- Serve along with strawberries or berries and maple syrup to taste.
