Oatnog: Vegan oatmeal cream punch

Ingredients
- 1 cup. Oats
- 2 cups. Oat milk
- 2 tbsp. chia
- ¼ cup. Maple syrup or sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla essence
- 2 tsp. Powdered cinnamon
- ½ tsp. powdered nutmeg
- ¼ tsp. Powdered cloves
- 1 pinch of salt
- Rum *optional
Instructions
- In a blender, mix the oats, oat milk and chia seeds.
- Strain using a very fine strainer or a sieve.
- Mix with the rest of the ingredients: maple syrup, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and the pinch of salt.
- If you wish to add rum, do so and mix again.
- Let the mixture stand in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes for the chia to thicken the drink.
- Serve cold and garnish with an extra pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg and vegan whipped cream.

Notes
- For a thicker OatNog, you can let the mixture stand longer or add more chia.
- Adjust the sweetness to your liking by adding more maple syrup or sugar.
- If you prefer it hot; heat the beverage over low heat while stirring until lukewarm.
- The rum is optional, but you can substitute it with almond extract for a different touch without alcohol.
