Chicken rolled oat soup

Servings: 2 bowls

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 400 g chicken
  • 1 onion finely chopped
  • 1 tsp black pepper powder
  • Salt as needed
  • 1 chicken bouillon cube
  • 2 –3 pods garlic chopped
  • 1 inch ginger chopped
  • 1 –2 green chillies adjust as per spice preference
  • A handful of coriander leaves
  • Lemon juice as needed
  • 3 cups water adjust as needed

Instructions
 

  1. In a blender, blend coriander and chilli together with a little water and keep aside.
  2. In a pan, heat oil and add chopped onions. Sauté till soft and translucent.
  3. Add ginger and garlic and sauté again.
  4. Add chicken pieces and cook.
  5. Now add rolled oats. Sauté for a minute.
  6. Add the green coriander-chilli paste, chicken bouillon, and water.
  7. Add salt and pepper
  8. Simmer for 5–6 minutes until oats are soft and soup slightly thickens.
  9. Squeeze lemon juice and serve hot.
