
Pears Stuffed with Oats and Walnuts
Baked pears stuffed with a golden oat and walnut crumble, finished with creamy mascarpone and a drizzle of honey. Simple ingredients, elevated into something truly comforting. Perfect for a cozy dessert.

- Preheat the oven to 180 °C.
- Cut the pears in half lengthwise. Remove the seeds with a spoon, forming a small hollow in the center.
- Place the pears on a baking tray with the cut side facing upwards.
- In a small bowl, mix together the oats, walnuts, brown sugar, cinnamon and salt. Add the melted butter and stir well until the mixture forms small clumps.
- Fill the center of each pear with approximately 1 tablespoon of the oatmeal and walnut mixture.
- Bake for 30 minutes, or until the pears are tender and the oat topping is lightly browned.
- Remove from the oven and serve warm, accompanied by a spoonful of mascarpone and a drizzle of honey over each pear.

Notes
- You can substitute Greek yoghurt or ricotta cheese for the mascarpone for a lighter version.
- If you prefer vegan, use vegetable margarine and substitute coconut yoghurt for mascarpone, as well as replacing honey with agave or maple syrup.
- Adding a little orange or lemon zest to the oat mixture gives it a fresh touch.
