Oat Crusted Pan-Fried Halloumi

Ingredients
  

  • 200 g halloumi cheese
  • cup oat flour
  • ½ tsp seasoning salt
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup quick oats
  • 3 tbsp canola oil

Instructions
 

  1. Cut halloumi into sticks and place in a shallow dish.
  2. Cover with boiling water and let sit for 10 minutes.
  3. Mix oat flour with seasoning salt, paprika and garlic powder.
  4. Dip halloumi sticks into the seasoned oat flour, then egg, then oats.
  5. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  6. Fry halloumi on all sides until golden.
  7. Serve warm, optionally with marinara sauce.
