Matcha Mango Latte

This drink is super refreshing, and you can adapt it with the seasonal fruit you have in your city.

I used mango because I love the combination with matcha, and I also made a homemade oat milk. I’ll give you the secrets so that it stays creamy and without that “slimy” texture that homemade oat milk can sometimes have.

It takes less than 5 minutes to make it at home and with ingredients that you probably have at home right now.

Mango Matcha Latte

Course Breakfasts, Desserts and Baked Delights, Snacks

Ingredients

Matcha Latte:

  • 1 ripe mango
  • ½ cup hot water
  • mint to garnish

Oat milk with cinnamon:

  • ¼ cup rolled oats
  • 1 ½ cup ice water
  • 2 ice cubes
  • Vanilla to taste
  • Cinnamon to taste

Instructions

Oat milk with cinnamon:

  1. Blend the water with the oats and ice for a maximum of 30 seconds.
  2. Go through a sky blanket or bag for vegetable milk without crushing too much so that excess “slime” does not come out. You can sweeten it if you wish with cinnamon, vanilla, sugar or your favorite sweetener.

Matcha Latte:

  1. Blend the mango until it is puree, if it is not too sweet, sweeten with maple syrup, bee syrup or your favorite sweetener.
  2. Place the puree in two glasses and fill with ice to the top.
  3. Mix the matcha with the hot water and mix with a frother to remove all lumps. If you only want 1 serving, just use ¼ cup of hot water with 1 teaspoon of matcha powder.

  4. Transfer to a cocktail shaker, shaker or mason jar with a lid, add plenty of ice and sweeten to taste with maple syrup, honey, stevia, monk fruit, sugar or your favorite sweetener to taste.
  5. To serve, place half of the mango puree in a glass, add ice (do not add the ice from the beginning or the puree mixture will remain in the entire glass).
  6. Carefully add the homemade oat milk and then the iced matcha.
  7. Before serving, mix a little to incorporate flavors and enjoy.
